Day 1:

The first band of The Great Escape I saw was in Hectors House called Calories. They were a decent band with very catchy melodies that made me want to sing along. ‘A Bear A Bison’ and ‘Forests of Varg’ were my favourites.

Up next was my personal band of the day Wintersleep (I could go home happy after seeing them even if I didn’t see another band). After checking my last.fm the other day I found they’ve been my top played band of the last 3 months. I wasn’t really suprised.
They opened with ‘Archaeologist’ and what I can remember played songs ‘Weighty Ghost’, ‘Oblivion’ and ended with my favourite song of the night ‘Miasmal Smoke & the Yellow Bellied Freaks’.
