Vukovi are a four-piece from Ayrshire, Scotland and have only been in existence for barely a year. Vukovi may seem a strange name for these alternative rockers however it is the Serbian name for Wolves which was the name of the band’s previous existence. With strong vocals from red-headed frontwoman Janine Shilstone providing the pulse behind the band, comparisons to bands such as Paramore are common but Vukovi don’t care:

“We try not to compare ourselves to other bands and don’t think about what other people want to hear. If we like it we’ll play it whether it’s a risk or not. No foreplay, straight-to-the-point tunes.” (radar.scotsman.com)
